Certain
types of litigation require publication of notice; other
types, from time to time, are aided by the use of legal
notices. The most common type is a service by publication,
which is used for lawsuits when a party cannot or will not
be served with notice of the suit. These most often involve
divorces, adoptions, terminations of parental rights, quiet
title to real estate or forfeitures of personal property.
Condemnations, changes of name and several other types of
notices also appear in this category.
These are used by the Associate Divisions and by the
Probate Court as well.
